I’m home alone at the moment, besides the cat, that is. CDH has left me for three days to do a job in Whakatane. I am contenting myself with homemade baked falafel and fresh pita bread, and lots of Nick Cave while I edit my novel.
In the interwebs world this week:
Frock and Roll looked gorgeous as she met Mike Portney from Dreamtheater this weekend. Pop over and let her know how jealous you are.
Top Ten Rudest Place Names in America. Good cheap giggles.

Gino de Dominicis created this giant skeleton installation in Milan’s Palazzo Reale. It’s 24m long, has a beak (don’t ask me why) and looks totally amazing. More photos on Haunt Style.
Amazing, awe-inspiring Zo Sun Hin Corpse Bride shoot for Vogue Korea. Thanks to Haute Macabre for digging up these dgark delights.

Metal Insider has all the details if you’d like to send Dio a get-well-soon card.
Woot tells us about 20 Movies to look forward to in 2010. I’ve already prebooked my ticket to the January screening of “Shaft in Mordor.”
Wednesday Garden’s Cassette Tape notebook. It’s the same size as a standard cassette tape and even comes in a tape case. Ooooooh, I love this in a thift-store shopping, vegan-cupcake, Fugazi-listening hipster kind of way. Plus, I was one of those people who would glue myself to the radio all day long, finger on the REC button, waiting for my favorite song of the moment to come on.
Animutations, by Greek animator Aggeliki Vrettou. I love the steampunk and taxidermy themes at the moment.
Did you know women are charged more for stuff than men? Even stuff like shaving cream that’s EXACTLY the same? I’m outraged. This is why I make so many things from scratch.
What are you reading / thinking / doing?
Horns up! \m/

Oh, thank-you so much for the lovely mention, *blush*! And also, for ensuring that I have an excellent stack of reading material to peruse!
